In hopes of finding some direct descendants, we were drawn to the Head of Barren Cemetery. All of the readable headstones were not our direct line, but rather those of great-uncles and aunts. It is believed, based on records from the book, “Cemeteries of Claiborne County, TN” by Paul Johnson,  that our direct descendants, John and Elizabeth Kelly,  are buried here, but the headstones are no longer readable.
